Covid-19 Statement

Please review the following information regarding changes in our policies and fill out the attached paperwork prior to your arrival.


Due to the very rapidly changing novel coronavirus and related disease (COVID-19), Geneva Lakes Animal Hospital and Lake Geneva Animal Hospital are taking additional precautionary measures within each of the hospitals to keep our staff, doctors, technicians, animals, clients and visitors safe, while continuing to provide essential patient care.


Effective Monday, March 16, only hospital personnel – including doctors, technicians, and essential staff – will be allowed inside all areas of the hospital until further notice.


Update 4/16/20:  Unfortunately the Stay at Home order has been extended as well as the social distancing regulations, so these precautionary measures will continue. 

Update 7/15/20: We're continuing allowing only hospital personnel in the building.


If you are coming for an appointment:


Clients are being asked to remain in their car and call 262-275-3303 when they arrive at the parking lot and to PLEASE REMAIN ON THE PROPERTY DURING THE EXAM.

If you are bringing in a dog for the appointment, we will have a tech come out w/a slip leash for your pet. If you are bringing in a cat for the appointment, we ask that you please have them in a carrier.


Our veterinary professionals will discuss your needs by phone, get your current phone number, email address and type of car you are in. A care professional will come to the parking lot to bring your pet into the building for evaluation.  After the medical team evaluates your pet, you will receive a phone call to discuss recommendations and a plan moving forward.  Please be available on your cell phone and watch for our call.  Verbal consent for treatment and details surrounding financial costs will be authorized via this phone call.  When the appointment is completed a staff member will call for credit card information and perform the transaction over the phone.  We can email or print (or both) receipts...please pay attention to the Doctor's notes regarding additional information and follow up care for your pet. We will return your pet and any additional supplies or medications that are needed to you at your car.  (If you prefer to write a check or pay cash, we will give you the balance over the phone and collect the payment when we return your pet to you). 


We know your pets are anxious without you, and we don't want to stress them any more than necessary.  If we are running behind, we would prefer that your pet wait with you in the car until the doctor is ready.  We have experienced increased wait times due to the inability to meet with owners and occasional emergencies that present.  We are working as quickly and diligently as possible and attempting to keep wait times minimized. If you have waited for an extended time, please call us for an update. 


Please fill out the PET EXAM form and bring it with you to your appointment.


We truly appreciate your patience and patronage and very much look forward to things going back to normal; until then we can all work together to make things work for everyone.
